Cricket tour .dates released
Pakistan will play a threeday match against Canterbury and a one-day international in Christchurch on its nine-match cricket tour of New Zealand early next year. The itinerary for the'tour, was announced last evening by the secretary of the New Zealand Cricket Council, Mr Graham Dowling. Four one-day internationals have been scheduled, as well as three tests in the Rothmanssponsored series. The itinerary is: January 8,9, 10: v. Canterbury, at Christchurch; January 12: v. New Zealand, at Napier, January 15: v. New Zealand, at Hamilton; January 18-22: v. New Zealand, at Wellington; January 25-29: v. New Zealand, at Auckland; February 1,2, 3: v. Wellington, at Wellington; February 6: v. New Zealand, at Christchurch; February 9, 10, 11, 13, 14: v. New Zealand, at Dunedin; February 16: v. New Zealand, at Auckland.
New Zealand’s tour of Pakistan will begin with a three-day match at Rawalpindi on November 8-10. Again, the tour will comprise four one-day internationals, three test matches and two three-day games.
On the way to Pakistan, New Zealand will play two one-day internationals against Sri Lanka at Colombo.
The itinerary is: November 8,9, 10: three-day match, at Rawalpindi; November 12: v. Pakistan, at Peshawar; November 15, 16, 17, 19, 20: v. Pakistan, at Hyderabad; November 23: v. Pakistan, at Faislabad; November 25, 26, 27, 29, 30: v. Pakistan, at Lahore; December 2: v. Pakistan, at Sialkbt; December 4,5, 6: three-day match, at Bahawalpur; December 7: v. Pakistan, at Multon; December 11, 12, 13, 15, 16: v. Pakistan, at Karachi. The New Zealand team will have a three-day match against an Auckland XI prior to departure for Pakistan.
