SOCCER PA Nelson Auckland beat Franklin, 2-1, yesterday to win the national under-14 soccer tournament. Other results and final positions: Wellington 1 (third), Canterbury 0 (fourth); North City 5 (fifth), Manawatu 2 (sixth); Hutt Valley 3 (seventh), Nelson 0 (eighth); Waikato 3 (ninth), Mana 2 (tenth); Otago 2 (eleventh), Hawkes Bay 0 (twelfth). Matches played in the final round of the New Zealand Junior Football Association's division three under-14 tournament at Kaiapoi yesterday resulted.— Canterbury 5, Mid-Canter-bury 1; Canterbury districts 1, North Otago 0; Eastern Southland 4, South Otago 1. Canterbury won the tournament with 10 points, from Eastern Southland on eight, Otago on 7 and North Otago with six points. However, as Canterbury was an invitation team, Eastern Southland wins promotion to division two next year.
