PA Palmerston North The Australians had a bad night when the final 16 in the open men’s singles in the New Zealand table tennis championships battled for quarter-final places in Palmerston North last night. The fourth-seeded Bob Tuckett bowed out in five long games to Malcolm Temperley (North Shore) and the eighthseeded Neil Ward was also outplayed by the Aucklander, Graham Lassen.
