Sydenham cabaret approved
A food and entertainment licence has been approved for a cabaret development of the old Sydenham Fire Station. The first floor of the cabaret, to be known as The Fire House, will have seating for 129 people. It will have a dance floor, bar, and kitchen. Above those facilities will be a mezzanine floor on two levels, with seating for 48 more people. All patrons of the cqbaret will have a view of the first floor stage.
The licence will allow the cabaret to open from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m.
A Licensing Control Commission hearing panel said the premises must be run in a way that would keep noise from the cabaret from disturbing the neighbourhood.
