Furs pull out
The Psychedelic Furs have pulled out of next month’s New Zealand tour for economic reasons, and the British-based band are also not going to Australia for similar reasons.
Chris Cole, of Cole Productions, said that the devaluation of the New Zealand dollar had hit the tour, plus the economic circumstances in both New Zealand and Australia.
However, discussions were being held with a number of other bands, and Cole named three The Cure, the Boomtown Rats, and Echo and the Bunnymen.
