Crossed words
As dozens of readers were quick to point out, the crossword puzzle yesterday was made unnecessarily difficult by publication of the wrong grid. To make amends, we print two puzzles today: the one which would have appeared in the normal course of events, and a repeat of yesterday’s clues together with the correct grid. The solutions to both puzzles will be printed tomorrow.
In spite of the error, several readers solved the puzzle, drawing up their own grids in the process. Some said that they enjoyed the extra challenge, but it is not intended that the error become a regular occurrence.
