McCon. Dowell jobs
PA Auckland McConnell Dowell Corporation has been awarded further contracts worth $BB million since the release of its annual report, the chairman, Mr A. L. Carpenter, said at the annual meeting in Auckland yesterday. This reflected the ability of McConnell Dowell staff to respond to the demanding and competitive atmosphere that existed in the industry, he said. Mr Carpenter hoped the Labour Government’s economic summit conference would produce policy that would provide the atmosphere for planned and continuing activity of the company. He noted that one of the company’s joint managing directors, Mr A. M. McConnell, had been invited to take part in the conference.
