PA Wellington The Speaker, Sir Basil Arthur, read the GovernorGeneral’s authorisation of the appointment of Mr J. J. Terris (Labour, Western Hutt) as Chairman of Committees when Parliament sat at 2.30 pm. yesterday. The Prime Minister, Mr Lange, moved that the Privileges Committee be appointed, and the members of the committee to be Mr J. K. McLay (National, Birkenhead), Sir Robert Muldoon (National, Tamaki), Mr G. W. .R. Palmer (Labour, Christchurch Central), Mr F. D. O’Flynn (Labour, Island Bay), and Mr Lange. Members presented three petitions. Ms Helen Clark (Labour, Mount Albert) presented the petition of K. A. Mangnall and 1657 others calling on the Government to endorse the inclusion of New Caledonia on the United Nations List for Decolonisation. Mr W. E.
