U.K. films for China
NZPA-AP Peking “Gandhi,” “Chariots of Fire,” and “The Hireling” feature in an exhibition of nearly 40 British films which opened in Peking this week to a selected Chinese audience. The collection, entitled “The British Film in Retrospect,” will be screened in Peking, Shanghai and Changchun under a BritishChinese cultural exchange agreement. Movie-going is popular in China, but most features are Chinese-made with patriotic themes. ‘ '
