Soil round recently planted shrubs at the new Peter Secular Park opposite the Civic Offices is raked by Mr Edward Taylor, of the Christchurch City Council’s parks and recreation department. The pocket-park, once part of the Tuam Street public carpark, includes seating and grassed areas. The park is named after Mr Peter Secular, a former city engineer and deputy general manager. It was constructed by Paynter and Hamilton, Ltd.
