Divers end search of river
Westport reporter Divers have ended the search of the Buller River for the body of Brenda Grey, aged 22, who is presumed (frowned, after a car went into the river at Fem Arch about two weeks ago. The underwater searches resumed on Saturday after a week of unsuitable river conditions. Divers went down again on Sunday but no trace of Miss Grey’s body could be found. The police now believe the body has been swept downstream from the crash site. A watch will be kept on the beaches where Miss Grey’s body may have been washed up.
