JGL acquisition
ICI Australia and JGL Investments Proprietary say they have reached agreement in principle of JGL to acquire the fibremakers division of ICI Australia as-a going concern. This will include the assets of Fibremakers Division’s operations at Bayswater, Victoria and Penrith, in New South Wales. JFL intends to offer employment to all Fibremaker’s employees. 1 Fibremakers Division, which has annual sales of around sAustBoM, manufactures nylon and polyester yarns for applications in the textile, tyre, carpet and general industrial markets. Product brand names include Terylene, Timbrelie, Soft-talk and Filamel.
