Aust. oil flow
Delhi Petroleum Pty, Ltd, has announced the discovery of oil in two zones at the Biala 1 exploration well in the South Australian Cooper Basin. Oil flowed at 200 barrels a day with a combined water flow of 1200 barrels a day, Delhi says. The well is about 45km south of Moomba. The company says its first drill stem test has located 400 m of 42.4 degrees API oil (a measurement of gravity) between 1190 m to 1216 m. The second drill stem test recovered 488 m of 40.5 degrees API oil between 1227 m ■ and 1241 m. Drill stem test three provided the oil and / water flow from the interval between 1241 m and 1250 m.
