Chch Multiple Listing Bureau
The Real Estate Institute in Christchurch runs a uniquely successful “multiple listing bureau.” Properties for sale, although registered with individual real estate firms, are put on a citywide list, and circulated by “The Realtor,” a
free, weekly publication put out by the Christchurch Multiple Listing Bureau. For example, during July this year, members of the Multiple Listing Bureau had sales of 246 properties in the Christchurch area, with the
total value of sales coming to $13,642,700. Two random properties currently listed for sale in “The Realtor” include a house in Murray Aynsley (above left) with an asking price of $129,500, and a city house (right), $53,850.
