Music contest finalists
Two Christchurch groups are among the finalists in the 1984 Westpac School Music Contest. The Vienna Trio and Christchurch Girls’ High School will contest the small group and the large group instrumental sections respectively. The finalists in the small group section for the national final, to be held in Wellington on August 11 include the streiching Quartet, Wellington; Farce 1,
Feilding; the Andira Trio,Auckland; and the Vienna > Trio. . In the large group section; the finalists are the Centen-, nial Ensemble, Wellington, and Christchurch Girls’ High School. ■ >' The finalists in the vocal, section are First Fifteen, (Havelock North) and Opus Fifteen, Auckland. The judge for all sections is Mr John Hopkins. The contest has been organised, by the Music Federation.
