Hawke’s Bay triumphs
PA Napier A more committed Hawke’s Bay rugby side beat Wanganui, 29-14, in a non-championship match at McLean Park yesterday. Hawke’s Bay, struggling after three successive
losses, scored four tries to Wanganui’s two in wet and dismal conditions. The home side led 19-7 at half-time, and opened a virtually unbeatable lead with an early second half try.
