Everest fee increased
NZPA-Reuter Katmandu Nepal has announced a sharp increase in fees for climbing expeditions to Mount Everest, the world's highest peak. A Tourism Ministry statement has said said that the new fee for expeditions to Mount Everest would be •$3OOO, up from $9OO. Similar steep increases were made for other peaks.
