Wages up 3 p.c.
PA Wellington Nominal weekly wage rates increased 3.1 per cent in the March-June quarter this year, according to the index released by the Statistics Department yesterday. The increase was caused by the $8 cost-of-living allowance effective from April 1. The provisional index value of the wage rates at June 30 was 2036 as against the December, 1977, base of 1000.
