Women on Govt bench welcomed
PA Wellington Two big women’s groups have welcomed the return of more women to the Government benches with the election of the new Labour Government. Both the Women’s Electoral Lobby and the National Council of Women said it was pleasing that some of the women would also be in executive positions. The increase, however, still reflected meagre representation for 52 per cent of New Zealand’s population, the lobby said.
