Mosque attack
An Orthodox Jew has tried to drive a car on to Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, the site of the Dome of the Rock and al-Aqsa mosques, two of Elam’s most revered holy places, the police said. The man, aged 31, drove through a military checkpoint and up a ramp near the Jewish Western Wall before being stopped by police. A spokesman said he was unarmed. — Jerusalem.
