Car wheels taken
Thieves made off with all four wheels from a car parked in the yard of a Kaiapoi garage overnight.
The. owner of Kaikuna Motors, Mr Brent Hayes, arrived at work yesterday morning to find the Honda Accord jacked up on one side with an old jack and on the other side with a concrete block. The four wheels, valued about $lOOO, were missing.
Mr Hayes said the burglars broke the security floodlights at the garage, which is in the main street of Kaiapoi. He suspects the theft was done in the early hours of yesterday morning.
