A Lincoln dairy farmer, Mr Keith Stewart, was a big drawcard at the Methven Ploughing Association match this week when he ploughed a plot as a demonstration with a six-horse team. Five of the draught horses were his, and the sixth belonged to Mr Alistair Stevens, of Barrhill. Mr Stewart is well known for his draught horses and his use of them to cultivate more than 10 hectares on his dairy farm every year. He also breeds and sells the big horses, the bloodlines of which can be traced back mostly to Australian stallions.
