Stamp set on horses
Three popular breeds of horse will feature on this year’s health stamps. The stamps, depicting Clydesdales, Shetlands and thoroughbreds, will be released on August 1. They were designed by Margaret Chapman of Christchurch. The stamps will remain on sale at Post Offices until
September 25 and at the Philatelic Sales Centres until June 30, 1985, unless stocks are exhausted earlier. Unaddressed first day covers may also be obtained at the Chief Post Office and some other Post Offices from August 1 to 10 or can be pre-ordered at any Post Office.
