Experiment in satire
In February a group of recent graduates from the New Zealand Drama School and their friends presented a late night show at Wellington’s Circa Theatre. Titled “Allegro Gestapo,” the show was summed up by the critic of the “Evening Post” as "entertaining, snappily performed ... the hour passed far too quickly.” Radio New Zealand invited Danny Mulheron to create a similar entertainment for radio. An experiment in satire, parody and humour, both black and as seen through rose-coloured glasses, “A Little Right Music” (Concert programme 9 o’clock tonight) is the result of this invitation.
