Scalped woman gets $4.5M
NZPA-APPort Huron, Michigan A woman whose scalp was ripped out when she was caught in a farm conveyer will get about SNZ4.S million in a settlement with the manufacturer and distributor.
Judith Flipiak, aged 26, was pulled into the machine on June 30, 1980, when her sweatshirt was caught in a rotating driveshaft, said her lawyer, Mr patrick Bruetsch. She and her former husband, Joseph, who will get about $463,000, were forced to sell their farm because of her injuries
