Pay increase for Governor-General

PA Wellington The Governor-General’s salary will rise by $lO,OOO a year to $55,000, and be backdated to November 6, 1982, under a bill introduced in Parliament yesterday. The rise in the Civil List Amendment Bill, increases the salary from $45,000 to $55,000 a year. The Prime Minister, Sir Robert Muldoon, said the maximum rate of annuity ■would also rise from $15,000
