The appointee will be responsible in conjunction with the butter manager for the day to day running of our modern butter factory. Our company manufactures bulk and a wide range of patted butters for both the local and export markets. Applicants should have a sound knowledge and working experience in butter, hold a diploma in dairy technology and managers registration in butter. Experience and training in supervision/ management would be an advantage. Those who hold a diploma but have yet to satisfy the requirement for managers registration could also apply. An attractive salary in accordance with the dairy factory managers award and commensurate with product knoweldge experience and qualifications will be paid. The usual dairy industry conditions and allowances include the availability of good company housing will apply. Removal expenses will be given favourable consideration. THE POSITION The Authority is a Statutory body established under the Racing Act 1971. It is responsible for developing and adminstering policies consistant with the economic well being of the racing industry. In carrying out this function the Authority, through various funds, allocates some $23,000,000 annually to Racing, Trotting and Greyhound Racing Club and carries out a key role in the setting of the racing dates and the allocation of licences to clubs. The Research Officer’s duties will involve the development and review of policies for the distribution of those funds, research into the various facets of the industry, and the development of policies for a growth strategy for the Industry.
