THE PAPUA NEW GUINEA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY BURSAR Following the appointment of the present Bursar to a similar position with the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok, the post of Bursar will tall vacant in July 1984 The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University responsible to the Council through the Vice-Chancellor for the financial management of the University The Bursar is one of the principal officers of the University, and has equal status and remuneration with Academic Heads of Department, the Registrar and Librarian. In order to successfully carry out the duties the University requires a person as Bursar who has senior professional accounting qualifications, extensive practical experience in financial management, preferably in a tertiary institution, adequate current knowledge of computerisation, leadership and negotiating abilities and a willingness to participate actively in the staff training and development programme. SALARY: BURSAR K 23.620 plus Head of Department allowance Kl.lOO per annum. (KI = NZ51.7399) (The level ol appointment will depend upon qualifications and experience.)
