League win for Britain
NZPA-AAP Dubbo The Great Britain rugby league tourists almost squandered a considerable early lead before preserving their unbeaten record with a patchy 36-30 victory over Western Division at Dubbo yesterday. The tourists went off the boil and lost their way after setting up an 18-2 lead inside the opening 20 minutes. Before they could regather their lost momentum, Western Division had roared to the front, 28-22, midway through the second half and looked well placed for a stunning victory. But Great Britain showed character in retrieving . the situation with two tries inside the final five minutes to clinch victory and remain unconquered, if not convincingly, after four tour games.
