Israelis charged
Twenty-five Israelis, most of them Jewish settlers on the occupied West Bank, have been charged with setting up a terrorist organisation, murdering local Arabs, and other crimes. Charges against the men were filed in the Jerusalem District Court After a brief, in camera hearing the presiding judge ordered that the accused be held in custody and banned publication of their names. Four more settlers being detained in the case, including Rabbi Moshe Levinger, spiritual leader of the ultranationalist Gush Emunim settlement movement, were not charged.—Jerusalem.
