Referee in hospital
A well-known Canterbury basketball referee, Mr Nic Warren, suffered a mild heart attack when officiating at a senior men’s game at Cowles Stadium on Wednesday evening and was
admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital. A hospital spokesman last evening described Mr Warren’s condition as “comfortable and there was a slight improvement.”
