NEW ZEALAND WALKWAY OPENING WAIMAIRI WALKWAY EXTENSION AN extension to the Walmalrl Walkway between the Groynes and Darroch Street, south-east of the existing walkway, was delcared officially open by the chairman of the Canterbury District Walkway Committee on May 13, 1984. The extension provides a return walk from the Darroch Street terminus back to the Groynes.
