This Is a new position within the Planning Division. The Recreation Project officer will form part of a plannlng/lmplementation team, responsible for programming and carrying out the Council’s recreation development works in the Belmont and Kaitoke Regional Parks, and on other areas of Council land. It is envisaged that a large part of the Recreation Project Officer’s time will be spent tn the field, and would be accompanied by associated office duties. Qualifications and background desired are practical experience In project Implementation and supervision of field staff and/or academic qualifications such as landscape architecture, landscape technology, or park and recreation management. The position will be for a contract period of 2-3 years and no surety of further employment can be given. Salary paid will be within the range of $17,049 to $27,073, depending upon qualifications and experience.
