Protest web spun
PA Wellington About 450 women spun a giant woollen web around the gates of Parliament yesterday to symbolise the fragility of life. They were taking part in a pro'test to mark' International Women's Day for Disarmament.
Speakers, including the members of Parliament. Fran Wilde and Marilyn W ; aring, and vice-president of the Federation of Labour. Sonja Davies, outlined New Zealand and the Pacific's position within the disarmament movement.
