Last Saturday I watched a senior rugby match at Lancaster Park south before going to the under 17 international. In my immediate vicinity were many other spectators, including women and children, and it concerned me to hear the coach of one of the teams, who is a former Canterbury and New Zealand player, calling for his players to "make someone bleed."
