Application forms are obtainable on request from the Chief Executive, CANTERBURY HOSPITAL BOARD, Private Bag, Christchurch to whom completed application forms should be addressed. Further information may be obtained from the Assistant Medical Superintendent In Chief (Dr D. M. Liddell), Canterbury Hospital Board. Appointments are made In ’ the following disciplines:— ANAESTHESIA INTENSIVE CARE THERAPY — One position. MEDICINE and Its SUB SPECIALTIES — including Geriatric, Intensive Care (one rotating post) and Medical Oncology. : OBSTETRICS AND GYNAECOLOGY ’ PAEDIATRICS PATHOLOGY and Its SUB SPECIALTIES PSYCHOLOGICAL MEDICINE RADIOLOGY I RADIOTHERAPY and ONCOLOGY SURGERY and its SUB SPECIALTIES — (except ' Cardiac Surgery). Salary Scales are In accordance with the Hospital Service Determination applicable to ■ Medical Officers, on the scale for registrars. I In addition to service work for the Canterbury Hospital Board the majority of Registrar posts have teaching duties to medical students of the 1 Christchurch Clinical School of Medicine of the University of Otago (200 students In the three clinical years). Registrar posts to the Academic Units associated with 1 the Christchurch Clinical School of Medicine are included In the advertisement. On runs to which Medical Students are attached Registrars will be expected to be Involved in teaching Medical Students and for this purpose they are given the status of "Clinical Tutors.” The Canterbury Hospital Board Institutions are approved by the Royal Colleges for training. Applicants may apply for general or specialist positions and may ask to be considered for more than one post. In all cases applicants must be prepared to remain for a full year. The new year will commence at the beginning of December 1984 and be completed November 1985. Special arrangements will be made with applicants • who have commitments that would delay commencing in December. The Canterbury and South Canterbury Hospital Boards have agreed In an exchange registrar programme for the benefit of both Boards and trainees. Registrars appointed to the Canterbury Hospital Board must agree to spend up to six months at Timaru. This scheme Is approved by the Royal College. It is planned that Part II trainees will normally be involved In such a scheme, but all appointees, Part I and Part H may be required to participate In this scheme. It Is realised that the Part I F.R.A.C.P. examination will be held In July/August Candidates sitting this examination should submit applications and Indicate their sub-speclallty Interest and proceeding to Part H F.R.A.C.P. PALMERSTON NORTH HOSPITAL BOARD CHARGE DOMICILIARY OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES APPLICATIONS are Invited from N.Z. Registered Occupational Therapists for the above full-time position. The appointee will be involved In the provision of domiciliary occupational therapy services for patients residing within the Palmers- . ton North Hospital Board area. Applicants should have had at least two years postgraduate experience and previous supervisory experience an advantage. A current driver’s licence is essential. Conditions of employment in accordance with the Hospital Service Determination for Occupational Therapists. Salary will be within the range of $16,455-517,863 plus • $B/week C.O.L. Allowance.
