Suspended
PA Auckland The Takanini apprentice, Gary Stewart, was suspended at Avondale yesterday, but the penalty was deferred so he could fulfil engagements at Te Rapa today. Stewart, the rider of Tom’s Dice, was suspended up to and including Thursday for causing interference to Robert near the 600 m in the Burnside Handicap. Following a further inquiryafter the Waterview Improvers, Stewart, who rode Cool Hewn, was fined $lOO for crowding Gay Minstrel, Dan Donnelly and La Grigia, soon after the start. Cathy Costin, the rider of Bolynn in the Waterview Improvers, was suspended up to and including Tuesday for causing interference to Bell Epee, resulting in interference to Marushka with about 600 m to run.
