Looks well placed to record a double for the meeting from the ace draw tomorrow night FOXTON ISOTOPE (Race 4), b g. 6yrs. by Double Nearco—ldol; trained at Waverley by J Elmslie Competent hurdler which blew out when second to Hullaballoo in first start over flights this winter. Should have improved sufficiently to reverse the roles this time. HORORATA SILVA RULER (Race 1), gr g. Byrs, by Tazrula — Fair Ration; trained at Riccarton by W. H. Beck. Impressive winner of his last two races over hurdles, and appears to have thrived on his racing. Quick, confident jumper, and the winner bv seven lengths of corresponding race at the Amberley meeting. TIMARU PREMIERSHIP (Race 6), b g. 4yrs, by Lordship—Protagonist; trained at Templeton by D. G. Jones. Floundered in slushy conditions last time and fastfinishing fourth two starts back. Promising young stayer which should prove too strong in this. WAIKATO QUEEN’S PAL (Race 7), b m. 4yrs, by Palatable—Lomond Queen; trained at Riccarton by A. and Mrs L. Prendergast. Finished well for second to the smart Decanka last week. Faces a strong field here but should be up to it.
