Decision reserved on appeal
PA Auckland Mr Justice Casey has reserved decision in the High Court at Auckland on an appeal by the Centrepoint community against points of law in a Planning Tribunal decision which stopped it from expanding. His Honour has been asked by Centrepoint to rule on legal points contained in the tribunal decision, which upheld an earlier Takapuna City Council decision effectively stopping more people living at the former Centrepoint community site at Albany, north of Auckland. The tribunal decision, which was released on July 15 last year, also upheld a decision by the Auckland Regional Water Board to refuse Centrepoint water rights for sewage disposal.
