23 signs returned to A.A.C.

The Automobile Association (Canterbury) “Sign-breaker-lawbreaker” campaign will end today with about 23 signs and three marker posts having been brought in to the A.A. under its amnesty on stolen signs. Many of the signs returned under the amnesty do not belong to the A.A. None of the signs returned in the last week were A.A. signs, and they include advertising signs, a tyre company pressure guide, and a “women” sign belonging to the National Parks Board. One report of possessors of stolen signs has been made to the A.A. and details of this have been passed to the police.
