Boxing differences
Youth will be pitted against experience in the main bout of the Woolston Working Men’s Club’s annual amateur boxing tournament tomorrow. Danny Morris (Richmond W.M.C.), who last season won the national 63.5-67 kg intermediate championship, is to be opposed by Stephen Henry (Woolston W.M.C.). He
has fashioned a most consistent record in more than a decade of ring appearances. They will top a programme of 16 events, and boxers from Ashburton, Temuka and timaru have entered. Two junior bouts between representatives of Woolston W.M.C. and Temuka will be for the Dick Gould Trophy.
