But when we saw you sleeping. So peacefully from pain. We would not wish you back, Dad, To suffer once again. All of his life, for his family he spent, Loved and remembered wherever he went For those who have a father Tell him that you care. For you’ll never know the heartache, Till you see his empty chair. If love could build a stairway, And memories make a lane. We’d walk our way to heaven, And bring you home again. —Treasured memories of a lad, that I am proud to call "my Dad,” so dearly loved and so very much missed. Always remembered, Liz and family.
