Preference will be given to applicants with a suitable Post Graduate Qualification in Audiology. The Audiology service is developing in the Wellington Hospital Board’s region and it is planned to develop an Audiology Clinic at the Hutt Hospital in the future. The appointee will spend the majority of his/her time at the Regional Audiology Base Unit in Wellington Hospital, but will be expected to travel regularly to Hutt Hospital to service Visiting Otological Outpatient Clinic. At present the requirement is two half days per week and at other times the appointee will be required to travel to the Puketiro Centre to assist with Paediatric Audiologlcal Assessments. The position is a full-time one. Duties include: (1) Audiology. (2) Rehabilitative Audiology. (3) Audiology/Tympamometry. (4) responsibility for residents of Hutt Valley and its environs.
