B. Thomson makes debut in England
NZPA-AAP London The New Zealand jockey, Brent Thomson, opened his British campaign with a reasonable seventh on a Robert Sangster-owned filly at Chester on Thursday. Although the bookies never rated Reggae Dancer highly — no quote below 201 — Thomson gave the filly every chance in the field of 12 for the Sefton Maiden Fillies’ Stakes over 1500 m.
