New Zealand Party policy

Sir,—Barbra Benson (May 5) inquires about New Zealand Party policies. These are set out in some detail in the manifesto of recovery. Indeed, our manifesto is somewhat more detailed than the Labour and National Parties’ manifestos for the last General Election. However, commencing with the detailed economic policy release in Wellington on May 20, the party will make regular policy releases over the next few months. There will b&considerable publicity about these more detailed releases and

your correspondent can avail herself of these opportunities.—Yours, etc MALCOLM MCDONALD. President, New Zealand Party. May 9, 1984. Sir,—l can assure Barbra Benson (May 5), that the New Zealand Party is definitely a party worth voting for at the election. It offers New Zealanders a package of policies that will go a long way to solving the country’s problems. It is interesting to note that other political parties are borrowing New Zealand Party policies and incorporating them into their own poli- x cies. We are delighted to see this, but unless the complete package of policies proposed by the New Zealand Party is implemented they will not be entirely effective. We will be making detailed policy releases regularly from now on, so Ms Benson need have no fears that we are unable to substantiate our original policy guidelines.—Yours, etc., ROSS BURROWS, N.Z. Party candidate, Christchurch North. May 8, 1984.
