Play continues in brass band competitions
PA Nelson The New Zealand brass band competitions continued in Nelson yesterday with all contestants present after weather had disrupted events on Wednesday. Nelson and Wellington airports were open and players who had been delayed by the closing of airports on Wednesday arrived from throughout New Zealand. The executive officer of the New Zealand Brass Band Association, Mr John Harrison, said many players had missed their competitions on Wednesday.
Events could not be rescheduled because of the large number of entries.
