Union request rejected
PA Auckland The AHI group of companies has rejected a combined unions’ request for a joint application to the Government for an exemption from the wage freeze. The unions wanted an ex-
emption to allow for a return to free wage bargaining. A spokesman for the unions, Mr Mike Sweeney, said he would now meet AHI delegates on May 14 to discuss what approach to take in the issue.
