Ship cleared of asbestos
PA Nelson Blue asbestos exposed during survey work on the fishing vessel Arrow at Port Nelson has been removed, said a spokesman for the owners, Sealord Products, Ltd, yesterday. The work was done after consent was given by the Health Department. The de-
partment had since cleared the ship and the annual survey has resumed. The survey stopped about two weeks ago when fireproof blue asbestos used for insulation and soundproofing was exposed when panels were removed to allow new wiring to be installed.
