D. Butt in third place
NZPA-AAP Brisbane David Butt, of New Zealand, is a close third in the Australasian Junior Drivers’ Trotting Championship following the second round of the series at Toowoomba, west of Brisbane. The titleholder, Geoff Marriott, aged 21, of Perth, is now within one point of championship leader, Barrie Rattray, of Tasmania, after winning the Toowoomba race on Legs McGee. The drivers’ championship began at the Gold Coast last Monday night and will continue in Brisbane at Redcliffe this evening and Rocklea tomorrow afternoon, with the last night of the series at Albion Park tomorrow evening.
