Won at this meeting last year and should take beating again despite his weight. J. Collett. 2 Magellan 10 55.0 Top sprinter-miler which will be resuming after being off the scene since last July. Has been working well enough in training to produce a bold effort fresh-up. C. Johnson 3 5269 Purple Crown 11 54.0 Smart three-year-old which should be all the better for his run against the sprinters at Feilding last Saturday week. That was his first outing since January. M. Campbell 4 3179 Beach Bird 4 53.5 Form has slumped a bit in his last two starts but speedy enough to be in it for a good way here. G. Blair 5 0000 Extra Glance 2 53.5 Does not win out of turn but her best is very good. Most recent of two wins this season was at Woodville in February. G.
